Hayden Ryan & Ciullo offers flexible fee arrangements designed to align with our clients’ objectives, risk tolerance, and budgeting needs. We believe fee structures should be transparent, predictable when possible, and tailored to the realities of each matter.
While hourly billing is often appropriate and preferred in complex litigation, we are willing to discuss alternative arrangements. We encourage candid discussions about fees at the outset of any engagement. Our goal is to establish arrangements that reflect the needs of the matter and the priorities of the client.
Hourly Billing
Hourly billing remains a common and effective structure for complex litigation matters. Our rates are significantly lower than those of large national firms and competitive with leading regional firms. In addition, our matters are handled directly by experienced partners, without layered staffing models that require multiple rounds of internal review. This structure reduces the total time required to complete work while maintaining rigorous preparation and judgment.
Contingent and Success-Based Fees
In appropriate cases, we consider contingent or success-based fee arrangements that align compensation with outcomes. These structures are evaluated on a case-by-case basis based on the nature of the dispute, risk profile, and potential recovery.
Fixed and Phased Fees
For matters with defined scopes or discrete litigation stages, we offer fixed or phased fee arrangements. These structures can provide predictability for pleadings, discovery phases, motion practice, or other identifiable milestones. Fixed and phased fees are designed to balance clarity with flexibility as matters evolve.
Hybrid Arrangements
We also offer hybrid fee structures that combine elements of hourly, fixed, and success-based billing. These arrangements may include capped fees, reduced hourly rates with success components, or phased structures that adjust over time.
